"Good Art for Good People" is our motto.  The canary gallery is a neighborhood art gallery, event space, and gathering spot, located in the heart of the 2nd Avenue Loft District in downtown Birmingham.  

Our Story

The canary gallery is the result of a lifelong pursuit of the arts.  Libby Pantazis, a retired lawyer, set out to create a space where artists can display their works, and garner recognition among veteran patrons, and casual observers alike.  With over 2,400 square feet of recently renovated space, the gallery possesses all the structure necessary to highlight the work of its resident artists.  

Whether you are looking for a work to purchase, or simply want to drop by for a glass of wine while visiting the many wonderful establishments on 2nd Avenue, we welcome you to join us on this artistic adventure.
