Born in Geneva, Switzerland to a French father and Swiss mother, Maud Coirier-Belser presents a voice in her paintings which resonates with the well-traveled and sophisticated without pretense. Her Chairs body of work captures ones we have seen in castles, kitchens and on patios! Each tells a story and has its own personality.

When I first met Maud, I was taken by her kindness and brilliant wit. Somehow, that aspect of her finds its way to her canvases.

Self-taught, Maud’s works are collected by followers from around the world, not surprisingly as she has lived in Thailand, Bangkok, Laos and Sri Lanka. She makes her home in Birmingham, Alabama and returns to Geneva as frequently as possible to visit relatives or to her private residence in the French Alps.
